A good strategy book that reads well and is genuinely useful.
A good strategy must have a logical structure called the kernel. Because it is abstract, it can be applied in any field. For example, I don't know much about economics, but I can still judge whether a given strategy is a good economic strategy. I only need to check whether it fits this kernel.
The kernel has three elements.
1. Diagnosis
2. Guiding policy
3. Coherent action
Here are the good 멘탈 모델s introduced in this book. Many of them apply regardless of field.
- 고릴라와 싸우지 마라
- Chain Systems
