Once you've grown reasonably comfortable with digital notes, you'll end up writing much of your life in them.
After that, you need a dashboard (or an index) where you can see the whole picture at a glance. Most people end up building something like this naturally.
But even after building one, many people don't actually look at it. A dashboard works best when you check it often, so your work context never breaks. If you only look at it once in a while, you forget what it all meant, even when you do look.
In my case, my Obsidian index note is printed out automatically every morning at 7 a.m. The printout comes out in time with my wake-up, and I start each day by waking up and reading the index note. It feels like reading the news.
